Paradise Valley Resort

Project Type

Photography

Location

Paradise Valley, Arizona

The design inspiration for the proposed resort was drawn from French agrarian compounds. These courtyarded farmsteads historically consisted of utilitarian buildings housing various independent functions arranged around a central courtyard. The resort is designed around a series of courtyards intended to enhance the guest's experience, take advantage of microclimates, and shield activity, visually and audibly, from intruding into adjacent properties.

Despite tight zoning constraints, this boutique resort aims to adapt to the needs of its various users. The streetside facade meets the culinary needs of our guests while also serving the neighborhood as an elevated cafe and grocery in the morning. At night, the destination restaurant opens for hotel guests and off-site guests. A speakeasy is also included to complement the culinary experience.

At over 150,00sf the resort design includes 77 suites with views of Camelback Mountain, a free-standing detination restaurant, and three meal restaurant and grab and go, conference space and event lawn, pool, pool bar, spa, and fitness space. The program also included 5 casitas, each with a private pool.
